HAPPY EASTER, everyone!!! What a great way to celebrate this most wonderous "resurrection" day....We will begin with President Monson's opening address:
What did you feel/or what were your thoughts...when President Monson announced the new apostle, Elder Neil L. Andersen? Garvin and I met Elder Andersen some years, ago. He baptized a menber of our Ward....in FRANCE....Do any of you remember Mark Johnston???? (Elizabeth's husband?)
You can't read the National news or listen to it on the radio or T.V. without feeling "saddened" and "concerned" for all who live on planet earth...Yet, the KINGDOM OF GOD..."is doing very well"..."The work of the Lord CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD UNINTERRUPTED!" So, testifies our Prophet President Thomas S. Monson...Temples are still being built and thousands are still serving FULL-TIME MISSIONS!!! Saints are still able to get an EDUCATION to improve their lives and their countries...ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS....ON TO VICTORY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just read President Monson's talk yesterday in preparation for today's Sunday School class. I was also most touched by his reassurance that all is well with the church and we are moving forward with our goals. So much of that is because our leaders are led by the Lord and have vision far better than ours. We are a debt free church... we pay cash for each building and do not have to finance any of our endeavors. Freedom from debt allows one (personally or the church) to move forward unencumbered to accomplish the goals they set. May we all be blessed to find a way to move toward less debt and more freedom in our families and as a nation.
